Highly Conserved Microchromosomal Organization in Passeriformes Birds Revealed via BAC-FISH Analysis

چکیده

Passeriformes birds are widely recognized for their remarkable diversity, with over 5700 species described so far. Like most bird species, they possess a karyotype characteristic of modern birds, which includes bimodal consisting few pairs macrochromosomes and many microchromosomes. Although the is typically 2n = 80, diploid number can atypically vary greatly, ranging from 56 to approximately 100 chromosomes. In this study, we aimed understand extent conservation karyotype’s organizational structure within four group using Bacterial Artificial Chromosomes via Fluorescence Situ Hybridization (BAC-FISH) microchromosome probes Chicken (Gallus gallus) or Zebra Finch (Taeniopygia guttata) per microchromosomes (GGA10-28, except GGA16). By examining chromosome complement passerine species—the Streaked Flycatcher (Myiodynastes maculatus), Shiny Cowbird (Molothrus bonariensis), Southern House Wren (Troglodytes aedon), Double-collared Seedeater (Sporophila caerulescens)—we discovered new Wren. Through FISH experiments, were able observe same pattern organization as in common ancestor birds. As result, propose confirm status organization, may confer evolutionary advantages group.

Extensive Conserved Synteny of Genes between the Karyotypes of Manduca sexta and Bombyx mori Revealed by BAC-FISH Mapping

BACKGROUND Genome sequencing projects have been completed for several species representing four highly diverged holometabolous insect orders, Diptera, Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, and Lepidoptera. The striking evolutionary diversity of insects argues a need for efficient methods to apply genome information from such models to genetically uncharacterized species. Constructing conserved synteny maps ...

Risk Assessment of the Introduction and Spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Viruses (H5-Subtypes) Via Migratory Birds in Iran

Background and Objectives: HPAI has economic and public health importance. Aquatic and shore migratory birds are the main reservoirs and the cause of the spread of viruses across countries. The aim of study was risk assessment of the spread of the avian influenza H5 viruses.   Methods: In this qualitative study, structured interviews and focus group discussions were used to assess the risk of...

The Role of Highly Conserved Tryptophan in the Sixth Conserved Region at Substrate Specificity of α- amylase

Early in this study, an α-Amylase from Bacillus megaterium WHO (BMW) was isolated from hot springs of Ramsar (North of Iran), and its gene was cloned in E.coli. Based on its conserved sequence regions and substrate specificity, it was classified as intermediary group enzymes with the specificity of oligo-1,6-glucosidase and neopullulanase subfamilies. In the sixth conserved re...

Asymmetric Genome Organization in an RNA Virus Revealed via Graph-Theoretical Analysis of Tomographic Data

Cryo-electron microscopy permits 3-D structures of viral pathogens to be determined in remarkable detail. In particular, the protein containers encapsulating viral genomes have been determined to high resolution using symmetry averaging techniques that exploit the icosahedral architecture seen in many viruses. By contrast, structure determination of asymmetric components remains a challenge, an...
